Fly Fishing Guides

To be a professional guide, one should be an expert in the skills needed to catch a fish. Any willing student can be taught these skills.  For that reason not every skilled angler will make an excellent guide. It takes much more than catching a few fish to qualify as a guide or staff member with Deep Canyon Outfitters. We choose our staff with your satisfaction in mind. Our guides will become your friends. Each member of our staff is not just an expert in their field, but a fun, friendly, welcoming person to spend the day with. Join us to see for yourself.

Jeremiah came to us from the State of Jefferson, bringing along over a decade of experience teaching and guiding. Whether it is helping you read trout water, get that perfect drift or cast your two-handed rod better, Jeremiah has the patience and expertise to make your time on the water more than just a fishing trip. He is a die-hard Steelheader and our resident Spey Guru. When not guiding, Jeremiah is most likely behind his vise coming up with innovative flies or knee deep in a steelhead river swinging flies for steelhead.

mjd.jpgMichael Divita – Head Guide. Michael is an Oregon-grown boy. He has spent the past twenty-plus years fly fishing nearly every river and lake in Oregon. Michael is a highly experienced oarsman who has guided fly fishing adventures on the Rogue River, Deschutes River, McKenzie river, and many more. His skills as a guide are dwarfed by his friendliness and talent with a guitar. Be sure to book a fly fishing camp trip with him to enjoy his music around the campfire.
