Oregon Wingshooting
Deep Canyon Preserve provides Oregon wingshooters with a unique opportunity to hunt for Ringneck Pheasants, Hungarian Partridge, Valley Quail and Chukar Partridge. Wingshooters at Deep Canyon Preserve can experience hunts for all the species above on the same day and all in the same location. This unique Oregon wingshooting experience occurs at Deep Canyon Outfitters’ 720 acre preserve filled with outstanding upland habit--sorghams, sunflowers, wheat and native grasses. Deep Canyon Outfitters promises pristine fields teaming with upland birds, to satisfy the most discearning wingshooting enthusiast.
Deep Canyon Outfitters kicks off each wingshooting season, September 1st, with a Wild Dove hunt. Hunts (guided and non-guided) can be booked through March 31st each year. At the Deep Canyon Outfitters' wingshooting grounds there are no bag limits on any species of game birds. Wingshooting packages are priced for the birds released not the birds harvested.
At Deep Canyon Preserve, we believe what makes a great Preserve hunt is quality birds and quality wingshooting habitat. Our habitat management program is predicated upon consistent quality food plots, quality nesting areas and safe zones for the birds.
In addition to our walk-up wingshooting hunts we offer a European-style driven wingshooting hunts called the Oregon Wingshooting Continental Hunt. During these hunts, pheasants and chukar are released off of a high, picturesque cliff, whereupon wingshooting guests take aim from below.
Guest of Deep Canyon Outfitters can also book an additional wingshooting trip feature: to relax and enjoy the rustic elegance of our 5400 square foot wingshooting lodge. Wingshooting guests can stay in one of the lodge’s five guest rooms. Our Wingshooting Lodge can accommodate up to 12 guests and also caters to corporate outings, associations and groups.
